Welcome to part two of my blog installments of my buddy’s sexy patriotic super-duo, All-American and Golden Boy. Previously, we got to see the boys’ secret prep school identities and how they’d fare against zombie bellhops. Now we are exploring how they became super-heroes in the first place with this three-part series of illustrations.

In the first one, as skinny teens, Todd and Cameron discover an old chest in a dusty attic from which a ghastly specter appears. The ghost is a soldier from the American Revolutionary War and also a super-hero in his own right.

He then sexily “bestows” the boys with their super-powers while their new muscles burst free of the confines of their attire. (My personal favorite step in this process… ^___^)

Finally, the proud ghost soldier looks on as the boys nobly accept their new identities as super-heroes.

This series was particularly fun as I got to explore new techniqes with the ghost and his power effects. Also, even though the background was a pain, it was pretty satisfying to get it done. So expect more from me about this duo because I’ve totally fallen in love with them and their story.

Also, let my client know what a cool premise this is for a comic book! You’d buy it right?

Heck yeah, I’d buy it! ^_^ I love these guys! JC, your artwork continues to astound me! I love all the work you put into the ghostly glow and semi-transparency. These are such awesome pieces! I can’t wait to see more! 🙂

These are really really good!! Although don’t think I haven’t spotted how you’ve cheated in the last drawing lol!! But seriously the colouring on these is ace; I hate colouring things ’cause it takes forever and I’m not brilliant so maybe, um, we could collab some day?
    CUZ YOU A PRO!! 😛
But yeah I agree with you that the idea is great for a comic book, there’s scope for everything – romance, peril, sex, comedy… and I’d buy it just for Golden Boy 😛 – although actually his name suggests he’d be into watersports… *ahem* maybe not :S

    Wabbit xx

Love the groovy look of the revolutionary as he super-sizes the guys. You really know how to have fun with your characters.

    Huge Hug!

  • Z-Maker says:

HAWT! Loving the EXPLOSIVE transformations there, JC! Beautiful colors too! (You keep getting better and better, my friend.)

I’d be one of the first inline to pick up this particular GEM…I hope your client thinks so too.

    Best Regards,

Hey Hey Hey, Dreamerboy. Thanks for stoppin’ by and voicing your opinion. It really means a lot to me.

LOL @ what you say about Golden Boy’s codename, Wabbit! That actually never crossed my mind, I guess becasue I’m familiar with the idiom. It refers to a guy who is successful and admired or idolized for his great skill– not in getting peed on though. (Although does it take great skill to get peed on? LOL– where’s R.Kelly’s little underage tart so we can ask?! haha.)

And yeah, even though I personally think your coloring is great, I’d be all for a collab someday. I do agree with you on how anoyingly time-consuming it is though. My coloring in particular gets way too fussy and precise– totally taking away from the freedom and spontenaity of the drawing. The only part I do enjoy is actually picking the colors. I like my color sense. It’s the rendering I can’t stand.

Hi, Joseph. More Persuasions is definetely on the way. I have big plans for that series.

Hey Chubtoons– yeah I thought it’d be hot if he looked playfully naughty in that pose. Like– I know I’m a good-guy, but I’m allowed to get frisky every now and again… even if I am a transparent apparition… lol.

Hey Z, thanks for the compliment on my color. I agonized over it, going back and forth with different choices. It’s amazing how color choice can totally effect the entire mood of a piece, eh?

    Hiya JC…

PLEEEEASE tell me you are going to give All-American and Golden Boy their own comic series!!! They are so sexy and HOT HOT HOT… plus their story is great fun, and something that a lot of fun have fantasized about once or twice I’m sure! 😉 Getting big powers and muscles through magic, I mean! LOL!

This recent trio of illustrations is really amazing. I love the second pic as well — very SEXY! And yeah, your ghost effects are wicked!

    More please! 😀

    Hugz + kisses!
    Patrick XOXOX

  • Jessica says:

I’d buy it. I’d give it to a few friends, too.

Golden Boy and the Locker Room Showers… MMMMMM?

  • JC says:

Thanks for commenting, Patrick and Jessica. The idea of this becoming a book is just talk right now, but who knows… maybe someday!
