RemiX Wildcard #6

Now before anyone flips their shit over how Puck isn’t a mutant, know that John Byrne did not necessarily intend that to be the case. The bizarre origin story of the “magical demon inside Puck that makes him strong but also short” is a bit of a retcon. He was definitely intended to be a natural little person but the Byrne plots (the first 30 issues) didn’t quite get around to explaining how he got powers, although I’ve always thought being a mutant is a simple explanation and makes sense.

X-Rated version on my site, anti-heroes.net → members gallery → fan-boy → X-Men RemiX. Puck may be short, but his appendages most certainly are not!

Back in the 80s and particularly the 90s, one could find comic books almost anywhere. Supporting my addiction, my mom would buy comics whenever she spotted them while out shopping. She’d also haggle, something I was never good at. So, I almost preferred that she bought comics on her own, without me around. This however resulted in her bringing home some real crap titles, X-Men 2099 among them.

So why include Skullfire in my lineup then? Well, 1) I like to remind folks of the insane X-Plosion of the early 90s which, IMO, was a bit of a renaissance for the X-Men. (And yea, this guy did have an action figure. Although I didn’t own him. I had “Meanstreak.” Great name… crap character.)

2) I like showing folks my psychotic encyclopedic brain when it comes to X-Men. For better or worse, I’ve retained a lot of this shit.

3) For the sheer wtf-ness of it. And 4) because of all those 2099 guys, he was the most unique-looking. True, he looked like the sperm-baby of Gambit and the Crow, but hey, at least I’m not giving you guys Serpentina. (I mean really, Marvel? Serpentina?)

Despite only making one significant comic book appearance in the 80’s, Berzerker has made it into numerous episodes of two X-Men animated shows as a member of the team in some form or another! Not quite sure why, but including him in my roster allows me to exercise a creative muscle, since there’s not decades of reference to sift through.

This Berzerker is in keeping with the one consistent trait he seems to have with every incarnation– that rather edgy, alternative look. Find out where else he’s pierced at Anti-Heroes.net → Members Gallery !

For being around for so long (1984!), it’s almost surprising Frenzy has only just now joined the X-Men.

Formerly allied with the likes of Apocalypse, Magneto and Sinister, to name a few, Frenzy has been a member of more random supervillain groups than anyone.

I’ve always liked her though, and I’m pro her as an X-Man. I feel like she was too minor of a villain to stay one, but shows up too frequently in X-History to not be on an X-team already.

Bonus points to whoever can guess my reference for her pose. Hint: think Genesis.

Decades of Bad Fan Art!

Inspired by this piece in AtomicBoyX’s gallery, I wanted to see if I could do something similar with one of my old pieces of fan art.

This image of Logan on the left is the first piece of fan art I ever put online. It’s so old– I was a sophomore in art school at the time, only 19. I remember keeping it hidden for a while– cuz yunno, it’s porn– but showing friends eventually and everyone liked it. I mean… really liked it— evidently my roommate in particular– as I came back to my dorm room from class one day to find the drawing on his bed. 0___o

The positive response led me to start the erotic art section of my website. And from then on, it became more and more obvious that I tended to care much more about my erotic work than any other.

And now today, I give you the remake of this piece! Glad to see I’ve improved in some areas. Although some things have definitely remained the same.

Full fat-drippy-1st-uncut-dick-ever versions are of course at Anti-Heroes.net → Members Gallery. And I’m interested if you guys also get inspired to redo one of your very early fan arts. Let me know if you do– let’s start a meme!

Even though X-Men Evolution had it’s problems, it offered a great many things I did enjoy, Evan being one of them. I just thought he was a solid, well-rounded, likable character. And I really appreciated the deliberate attempt at diversity, considering that the X-Men comics seemed to be doing the opposite at the time.

And yea, when it comes to Spyke v. Marrow, I gotta get on Team Spyke all the way. Marrow was cool as the hideous leader of the teenage Morlock splinter group, Gene Nation. But once she got all cute and poised to join the X-Men, she went downhill for me. I felt her redesign went against the idea of the character. I wanted her as a grotesque Gen X villain, not a cute, bratty X-girl.

Spyke is just way more fun and when he had his secondary mutation to make his spikes get all HOT, he’d totally wipe the floor with that little sewer rat.

DEATH!

ROLL OVER!

Ok so Femmes-Fatales renditions of my X-People is forcing me to go back and look at the super old ones I did over 6 years ago. It’s making me realize I really want to redo a lot of them as I think I’ve gotten a lot better since then. But I’ve gotta force myself not to succumb, and stick to producing all new stuff.

HOWEVER– I always did want to make an Archangel variant of my Angel piece, even back when I initially drew it. As I said in a thread, how can one not think the blue skinned angel of death is frikkin’ awse?!

So in approval of Marvel’s recent decision to give Angel the power to change into Archangel at will, I made a variant of my Angel piece.

Sort-of werewolfy, sort-of Hulky, the new power is a little difficult for me to understand. (So the feathers just morph into blades? When he shoots the blades, do they just… grow back?) But again, who cares? Archangel is kool!

Nearing the end of this X-Men RemiX project, I’ve decided to throw in 7 wildcard characters. They’ll all be surprising and each sexy as all get out!

So first up is Grizzly! I wanted to do a character I could fit into my image of a beefy guy, since you guys are all saying I need to draw more beefy guys.

Definitely one of those early 90’s X-Force explosion characters, Grizzly enjoyed brief minor notoriety and even had a Toy Biz action figure. A member of Cable’s Six Pack and good buddy of Domino, he was then brainwashed into villainy and killed. But regardless of his history, I thought he needed a chance at redemption by my pen. And now that he’s done, I have to say, he’s become one of my sexiest characters to date! Count on me drawing Grizzly again… perhaps with Jean-Paul… or maybe Mr. McCoy… 😉

And yea, the naked version in Anti-Heroes.net → Members Gallery is pretty frikkin’ hot, if I do say so myself! I gave his a serious chode! Definitely not one to miss for you bear chasers or anthro lovers out there!

Do You Believe in Magik?

By | anthro, Fan Art, Marvel, muscles, twinks, X-Men | 6 Comments

I resisted drawing Sunfire for quite some time. He’s not an X-Man and I kind of resent him for so often declining membership.

But when my X-Men RemiX to-do count ended up at 79, I told myself I needed to do one more since 80 is such a nicer number to me. (Don’t get me started on that; it’s one of my quirks.) Sunfire beat out quite a few other D-List X-Characters for one reason alone: that he’s the ONLY Asian male x-character. I feel like that’s really pathetic of Marvel, particularly with the slew of Academy X characters recently created. How did an ethnicity that makes up 2/3 of the world’s population get so overlooked?

Drawing Shiro has forced me to admit to the few things I appreciate about the character. 1) JoeMad’s AOA redesign was absolutely genius. 2) I guess it makes sense that some powerful mutant superheroes would rather not be X-Men. It’s more realistic, I suppose. Still, someone in the X-House should have actively sought out another Asian male mutant to fill his spot.

Although Claremont handled Dani well, I’d say that his most interesting and intriguing New Mutant character was Illyana. The idea of Magik and her struggle to reconcile evil with goodness is fascinating to me.

Though she was always a good-guy, her powers come from pure evil. She’s got a sinister side unseen in any X-Person before her, save maybe Wolverine.

Most comfortable shrouded in hellish, demonic imagery, you get the sense she would do anything, no matter how amoral, to further her goals. Fortunately, her goals are usually defending her friends.

(By the way, am I the only one who assumed she was screwing Sym?)

Of all the Generation X characters, I was most excited about and in love with M. She was perfect… that was her power. So cool– especially juxtaposed with all the misfit characters of Gen X .

When M came out, I had an Algerian friend who was very similar to the character– beautiful, smart, spoke like 5 languages, and rich. She approved of M’s personality, stating that Algerian girls are indeed like that… prissy, I guess. She did not however understand why they made her black. “There are no black people in Algeria,” according to my friend. But I was like, “Oh what does she know, it’s Africa– I’m sure there’s some black people there.” LOL!

So, I wonder if that’s the reason behind M’s constant skintone fluctuations. Like, did creators just want a rich African girl, arbitrarily pick Algeria, assume she’d have to be black, later realize that the population is 99% arab, and then make her lighter to retroactively say she’s arab now?

Or does she just have vetiligo? 😉

In any case, my M would probably be like original M… when she wasn’t so bitchy and probably just a biracial black/ arab girl… played by Tatiana Ali in my movie.. hehe!

So yea, I can’t tell whether I’m biased because he’s a ghey, but Victor is my favorite of the Academy X squad. My pal Femmes-Fatales on DeviantArt points out that it’s insensitive to make the lone queer less human looking than everyone else. You’d think I, being as militant about political correctness as I am, would agree. But… I just really like Anole! I think he’s cute! LOL!

Maybe I am swayed by his behind-the-scenes creation story– how he was originally supposed to commit suicide to show both Hellion’s and Elixir’s reactions as cold and caring, respectively. This idea was scrapped when writers and editors realized that offing a gay character for the sole purpose of developing straight characters was fucking lame. And now Anole has proven to be more popular, and quite frankly, a better character than either Hellion or Elixir!

I also like that Anole has been shown to disapprove of Cyclops’ leadership.

Oh yeah, anti-heroes.net > members gallery > fanboy for for your X-Rated versions of the boys. Hooray for my first Japanese dick in a long time! And my first lizard dick! ^___^

Charlie X’s Angels

What do a scientist, a dance teacher, a spy and a government bureaucrat all have in common? Well, in the world of classic X-Men, they’re each powerful women with extremely close ties to the X-Men, despite possessing
no super powers whatsoever!

Each of these gals had almost invaluable roles and each was created and written with Claremont’s trademark carefulness and specificity.

The idea that there are these highly-skilled non-mutant people scattered throughout the globe who secretly take on the burden of the X-Men’s mission in one way or another is intriguing.
