Erotic Figure Drawing: Brad

By | Anthony Gonzales, figure drawing, guest art, muscles, Original Art | 2 Comments

For this session, pierced and tatted Brad was our model, with a toned, athletic form and the genitalia of a porn star. Being a dancer, he was in great shape and thusly able to hold difficult poses, so we got a few more drawings than usual outta the night.

I was excited for these fun poses and focused on the model’s anatomy rather than his tattoos. I told myself, “yea, that’s something I can fake in Photoshop later.” What I did was put some of that textiles knowledge to work and just created a repeating pattern I could easily overlay over the appropriate sections of the body and voila! Instant tattoo fake! LOL

But many of the other artists there drew the tattoos on the spot. Below I’ve included mine and pics of some of the other artist’s renderings of one particular pose, to show you what I mean. And also to show that some really talented people go to these sessions. The first 2 after mine are my buds Anthony Gonzales and Rob Clarke.

Darque Knights Return

Well, they don’t quite return… more like… debut. My good friend Anthony Gonzales was invited to have another art show at Chi Chiz, a gay bar in NYC. But instead of another solo show, he invited me and some other artists to exhibit!

All of us showing will have a comic-style bent to our work. And we’re all queer pervs, so expect some sexiness. And since Chi Chiz attracts a predominantly black crowd, most of our pieces will celebrate the black male and his beauty.

Each of these 5 drawings will be showing and available for purchase. These are all framed original one of a kind colored pencil and marker drawings on 8×10″ sized craft paper.

You may have seen some of these images in slightly different form on my site or in my books. Well, that’s because they are redos. I take my original sketch of said drawing, and instead of coloring it on the computer like I normally do, I’ll draw over it on brown paper. Bingo, instant original! XD

Wish me luck in selling something! And drop by if you can! Info is below!

Happy Birthday 2 Me

By | Anthony Gonzales, Anti-Heroes, Caleb, guest art, muscles, Tai, xxx, Zeke | 2 Comments
So I just turned 30 and am still kinda… dealin’ with that. But what’s helped is some of the awesome guest art I’ve gotten lately! It’s kinda starting to accumulate, so I thought I’d go on and share it all with youze.

First up is my good buddy Anthony Gonzales. He never fails to surprise me with his creativity and ingenuity. For my compleanos, he did this awesome drawing of the hot, hung, horny, hard-bodied Anti-Heroes and somehow turned the original into a jigsaw puzzle! Let me just tell you, this was BY FAR the funnest puzzle I’ve ever done. I keep taking it apart and putting it back together again!

Here’s another Anti-Heroes piece Anth did for me. Anthony always poses my characters in such a way that is very evocative of their personalities. More so than anyone who draws these guys (including me,) Anthony really emphasizes their differences in their stances. I love it! I only have a cellphone photo of this one so far. Working on getting the original! (wink wink)

And finally, here’s one Anth did a little while back featuring the ladies of my super-mutant team, the Bomb Squad (featured in Anti-Heroes #3.) I am supposed to be digitally coloring this one… but time and laziness are getting in the way of that task. Still, the inks and line-art really hold up, as they always do with Antony’s stuff. Thanks a million, buddy!

Next up, my other good pal, Jezza does the Anti-Heroes in his own vibrant style. I love how even though Jezza’s style is on the cartoony side, he manages to cram all this subtle detail into his work. For instance, all 3 Anti-Heroes have different faces. I really appreciate the weapon design on Caleb. And is it just me, or do Jezza’s pieces always draw your eye in directly to the cocks? What is it– the placement? Whatever it is, nice job, as always bro! Jezza also recently interviewed me over at his blog so I suggest you dudes read that to find out how perv-minded I really am.

This next one is by Shawnti Therrien, an artist I met at a con a few moths ago. I was scouting artists to commission to draw the Anti-Heroes, but was embarrassed to ask any straight guys. Luckily, I spotted her booth adorned with posters of scantily clad male characters. I immediately thought, “Oh fuk yes, this person isn’t going to have a problem drawing sexiness!” Shawnti was a pleasure to meet and I love her rendition of Tai. This pencil rendering is something I really appreciate, being that I have absolutely no patience for it, myself. LOL

Last but not least is an action-packed painting of Caleb by Bordin Marsinkul. Another artist I met at the con, Bordin was actually sketching at a booth where they were selling markers. His wonderfully gritty Street Fighter pieces were up, so that’s what got me to stop but then I actually saw him work… which was incred. He needed tons of space and went at the paper like a martial artist would a punching bag. He was very animated, which seems to really show through in his work. I love the exuberance and excitement that goes into this piece.

Thanks to all these great artists for inspiring me! Now, I’m gonna go draw and subconsciously rip you all off, hahaha. j/k

Anthony Gonzales Fan-Art Blowout: 2!

By | Anthony Gonzales, Anti-Heroes, Caleb, guest art, muscles, Persuasions, Supreme Dominion, Tai, wet, xxx, Zeke | No Comments
My extremely talented buddy Anthony Gonzales whipped up some more awesome renditions of Anti-Heroes for us all to salivate over!

Anti-Heroes vs. the Parasites (If you don’t know the Parasites, do yourself a favor and pick up Anti-Heroes #3!)

Ass Up Tai

Power Suit Caleb

Sleeping Giant
Cover Boys

I really love this one of Paxton. I wish you kids could see the hardcopy of this. The color is so vibrant and it’s all traditional media. Frikkin’ awse. Anthony is my hero.

Guest Art Bonanza!

By | Anthony Gonzales, Anti-Heroes, Caleb, guest art, muscles, Tai, xxx, Zeke | 6 Comments
Leave it to me to inspire tons of awesome talented artists to send me their porn drawings! HAHA– just joking. Most of these aren’t even porny– but still great, each in it’s own particular way. As you guys know, I adore seeing the Anti-Heroes rendered by other artists. So, without further ado, I’ll present the collection I’ve amassed over the past few weeks.
These two below are by Anthony Gonzales, a great friend and amazing artist. The Power Suit Caleb one, I plan on getting a better scan of, eventually. And the Black and White one is for me to color eventually– although I like how the inks look as is. BUY ANTHONY’S BOOK!

Next up is another by Jeremonkey. (You may remember, he did a cute drawing of the Anti-Heroes back in May.) This time, for my birthday, he gives us his version of one of his favorite scenes from issue #1. He’s really captured both of their personalities here. Also love his coloring style. Looks like a lotta work!

This piece is by my good buddy Kitt Mouri. She sketched this one out while helping me run my booth at the Gay Erotic Expo a few months ago. Tai, I sometimes try to convey, can be a little elvish. Elves are something she specializes in. Good fit!

Here’s a great one I actually got a while back and forgot to post! Yikes! But back when Charha drew it, Tower posted it on his blog. It’s Tower’s characters Ractus the rat, Lange the fox, Revedian the tiger, and Tower the wolf doing cosplay of Zeke, Locus, Camili-Cat, and Tai respectively. Locus and Cam are (of course) Class Comics characters. Whenever I look at this one, it makes me wanna get into furry.

Next up, here’s Power Suit Caleb as drawn by Iceman. Recently I’ve connected with Iceman after being a fan for many years. We agreed to art trade– I did MidnightMan and he did Caleb. Great action pose and lighting.

Here’s a piece by a new friend I’ve made recently named Jezza. No website up for him just yet, although we’re workin’ on it! Jezza can draw pretty realistic, but I was floored when I saw hi more cartoony take on the Anti-Heroes. He’s got a fresh, unique style. Can’t wait to see more from him.

Lastly, I’d like to treat you all to a REALLY special treat. I’ve always been interested to know what the Anti-Heroes would look like as genuine bona fide action figures. So, I decided to commission Tobias Trost over at Imatoy.

I had been corresponding with him via email for a while and always knew in the back of my head that he’s who I wanted to make my Anti-Heroes toys. He does really great work. Tobias said that these were some of his favorite pieces to create. Indeed they are unique because he’s working in a larger scale and using more sculpting and painting and accessories than ever. It’s all made for some really great models of my favorite hot hung horny hard-bodies. My favorite of the three is definitely Zeke. There was a lot of back and forth and experimentation with him, but he came out pretty amazing.

It’s funny because I have these on my shelves with my Marvel Legends and Sota Street Fighter toys, and people ALWAYS double take when they see the Anti-Heroes amongst them. Like, “Woa! What X-Man is THAT supposed to be– with the big bulge… oh wait… that’s one of your characters!”

Thanks to everyone who sent me Anti-Heroes art. You don’t know how much I truly appreciate it! There’ve been days lately where I’ve been feeling like this whole art thing isn’t worth the effort, so when I get great gifts like these, not only does it make me feel good, it also validates my staying in the game. As long as someone out there likes it, I’m gonna keep on doin’ it! THANKS! SMOOCHES!

The Anthony Gonzales Fan-Art BLOWOUT!

By | Anthony Gonzales, Anti-Heroes, Caleb, guest art, muscles, Tai, xxx, Zeke | No Comments
I’ve been sitting on this for a while, but I think now is the time to reveal my pal, Anthony Gonzales’ massive fan-art collection of the Anti-Heroes!

I spoke about Anthony in an older post in response to a few fan-arts he did of my original characters. Little did I know then that he’d give me a TON more!!! I wanted to display ALL of it right away but that was during my hellish-no-time-for-anything-pray-I-don’t-shoot-myself period. Now that I have a little breathing room, I feel like it’s finally time to show you guys Anthony’s awesome masterpieces.

I draw with Anthony at the Workshop, and fell in love with his style early on. He has a way of really capturing a man’s masculinity and virility with nothing more than a sexy pose and naughty facial expression. And he’s a speed demon! No joke, I’ve seen my man sketch, pencil, ink, and color a piece to artistic completion in less than 20 minutes. That’s why even though I was super-excited to get these, I wasn’t too surprised at the volume. I bet he can do 5 of ’em in a night!

Some of these are colored by Anthony. Others are colored digitally by me. We make a good team, huh?

He even showed me some of his thumbnail sketches for pieces he didn’t end up doing. (The two below this paragraph.) He was going to toss them but I begged him to let me hold onto them! They’re pretty detailed sketches, dude!

I also love that he’s into more than just the 3 main characters. He’s a big X-Men fan just like me and thusly likes my mutant rip-offs
, the Bomb Squad. Below are a few of his sketches of them.

One thing I always marvel at with Anthony’s work is his incredible attention to detail. He has a vivid imagination and not only comes up with the figures from his head, but also the props! I kinda don’t love drawing props and doodads, but you can tell Anthony is a pro at it. Just look at this illustration on the right– so crazy detailed, I couldn’t even think about coloring it! (The offer to anyone who wants to is hereby officially on the table!)

I’m a little glad that I held off from posting these for as long as I have because it allowed me to time this post with the release of Anthony’s first art book. Published by Bruno Gmunder, Bronx Boys is a collection of some of Anthony’s best work. Every piece is unmistakably set in New York City. Anthony seems to have captured the very essence of what makes the men here so frikkin’ irresistable.

Guest Art Bonanza!

By | Anthony Gonzales, Anti-Heroes, Caleb, guest art, muscles, Persuasions, Supreme Dominion, Tai, twinks, wet, xxx | 8 Comments
So who knew when I said I’d love fan-art for my birthday that so many of you guys would do it?! I feel so special! I can’t tell you guys enough how much I appreciate it. It’s such a joy to see characters I’ve created get rendered by other artists. It’s like– the ultimate affirmation that my audience actually understands what I’m doing with all this. It never ceases to amaze me that people “get” my characters. So, once again– big thanx to everyone who turned out these mini masterpieces!
I love how RedValkyrie captured Toni‘s extreme beauty and femininity here:

And then here’s Tai, who is perfect for someone like Wabbit, who has a talent for drawing cute manga faces combined with the manly muscles of western comics:

Finally, I’d like to introduce you all to a phenomenal artist I’ve only recently just met. Anthony Gonzales was perhaps one of the first people to become friendly with me in these drawing sessions I’ve been attending. I noticed his awesome work in the class the first few times and then, one time he brought in his XXX portfolio of personal work. I must say, I was completely in awe of this traditional master renderer with his genuine love and understanding of the male form. He uses mixed media and when I say mixed– I mean MIXED! For example, many of his pieces featured beautiful African-American men with their “bling” done in metallic shimmery marker and sometimes even glitter! And he had this other piece where this guy was drinking spunk from the “tap” and it was done with Elmer’s glue! So brilliant! He gave me one of the pieces, shown below. I like to think it’s my character Drakaar from Persuasions. hehe

And then for my birthday, Anthony brought in these two pieces from which I’m still freaking out over. First up, we’ve got Paxton giving it to Tai, wondering if Caleb‘s unit will fit in as well! Look at the subtle detail in Paxton’s legs.

Next is Nuke and Preston marveling at the wonderful job they’ve done of sodomizing poor Jehosaphat. I especially dig the realism and expression that went into Preston’s face here.

Anthony does not have a site up just yet but I am pestering him to get on-the-ball about it. In the meantime, I think he is taking commissions via his e-mail addy. And you can also check out some work he did in the recently published Dirty Little Drawings.

Addendum (01-14-08):
I found 2 of Anthony’s pieces online. Not great repros, though.
