X-Men Legends is a great game but it suffers from a syndrome from which most X-Men games suffer: a boring cover. Cue my redo. Choosing which characters to use was easy enough. I picked the 4 most iconic characters (all male of course, as this is the secret SEXY GAY version of the game.) Deciding to use the costumes I designed for them was also a quick decision. I figure, if everyone and their mother gets to do it, I should, being a devout fan and historian for decades.
The tough part was figuring out what they should be doing and how to pose them. I mulled through a myriad of different ideas, but none of them seemed as solid as the classic X-Men splash image. You know, the type of drawing that sells millions of comic books and never fails to make fans kick themselves after discovering that only one or two of the characters from the cover are actually in the book. haha.
I also had issues deciding how exactly to make this XXX erotic (particularly because I’d already drawn them all fully clothed!) I never tire of my rollover images, so I went with that, along with that cool glowing “X” that serves as the x-ray vision peephole for you guys. I have to say that even though he is not my favorite of the 4 I chose, I am most pleased with Logan in both the clothed and raunchy versions. I think after days of mucking around with it, I finally captured that Logan snarl!
I expect massive amounts of feedback, people– this is X-MEN FAN-ART here. ^__^
Looking back, I shouldn’t have been so post-crazy during the month of January. I doubled my normal post rate that month instead of saving things for a time like now when I have absolutely nothing to post. But ah well, it was all stuff I wanted to share immediately and anyone who knows me knows that patience is not my strong suit. bleh.
Cue this latest barrage of ancient drawings! This is all stuff you guys have never seen– all stuff from my drawers and folders and sketchbooks from the past. I’ll show them in chronological order. This first one is circa 1999. I was in my 1st or 2nd year of college and was busy writing erotic stories about X-Men and posting them on the web. This was one of the ones I illustrated as well. All I remember about the story was that I wrote a really good closeted Iceman. HAHA.
Next up was this strange idea I had circa 2002 to create a team of magical heroes based on Sailor Moon— except they’re all boys. I think maybe halfway through the sketch, I realized how gay this was and abandoned it.
This Tai drawing was probably done around the same time. I used photo reference to draw all three of the Anti-Heroes as realistically as I could. I really hate the way Zeke and Caleb came out so you guys can’t see those.
Lastly is a sketch of Nightcrawler I did maybe 4 years ago. Hope you guys enjoyed this blast from the past. I get so worried showing old stuff because I definitely feel like I’ve progressed much farther than this. I hope new visitors to this blog don’t think this is representative of my current work. I guess that’s more incentive for me to post something new ASAP!
Humbuged had some pics that he’d drawn on his Nintendo DS. Being the annoying guppie that I am, I always have the latest tekkie gizmos. Before I got my iPhone, I had a really amazing pocket PC smart-phone that was super customizable. At the time, I was friggin’ obsessed with finding a good digital painting program for it. But alas, none of them really worked.
I dunno why I was/am so preoccupied with a portable digital painter. So needless to say, when I discovered that I could get one for my trusty lil’ DS, I jumped all over that!
The application is called Colors! and it is a homebrew game created by Jens Andersson. It keeps things incredibly simple for ease of use. And the resulting works can look really amazing. I was never a real lover of any traditional media other than a pens and pencils, but this program makes it look like I can watercolor with the beat of ’em! Haha
My favorite feature of the game is that it records every single brushstroke so you can view an animation of the progress of your drawing! I’m so enamoured with this game, it’s not even funny. The only real problem is since I only really play with it in public (on the subway) I can’t really draw anything all that raunchy. When you have a DS or PSP or whatever, it’s a given that folks are gonna look over your shoulder. I don’t know if I could take the guilt of exposing some impressionable young tyke to a giant cartoon cock.
So yeah, at first I was upset to see my two favorites at the bottom of the barrel. But then I thought, “Hey, since I’ll have to do my faves last, I’ll no doubt unconsciously make them BETTER than all the previous ones!” MUA HA HA!
Yes, Bishop and Iceman have always been my favorite male X-Men. I remember the day I first learned of Bishop. Picture an 11 year old me and a friend in the schoolyard one morning:
Nick: Dude, did you see the new issue of X-Men!? There’s this new Black guy and he’s BIGGER THAN COLOSSUS!!
JC: What’s his powers?
Nick: I dunno– some energy shit. BUT HE’S HUGE!
We skipped lunch and booked it to the local comic shop where I grabbed a copy of Uncanny #282. Bishop remained me and Nick’s favorite for a while– mullet and all. Although Nick eventually abandoned Bishop once he realized Bishop actually wasn’t bigger than Colossus. (size queen)
So yeah, if Bishop was the X-Man I wanted to be, then Iceman was definitely the X-Man I wanted to fuck. He was so fun and boyish, but maintained that jockish charm that really spoke to my teenage gay libido. I was sooo convinced Marvel was going to make him queer. Everything about his storyline in the 90’s led to it. But alas, they gave us Northstar instead. No offense to Northstar lovers out there but I can’t think of anyone who liked that guy before they made him gay.
Oh- and to prove my insane gay fandom for Bishop and Iceman, here is an extremely old, unfinished fanart of them. This is like circa 1997– don’t laugh at my deformed lookin’ hands!
Also adding my Cannonball into this mix. He was an afterthought for me which was why I never included him in the poll. I only did him because I wanted the complete set to total 20 and not 19. (I don’t like odd numbers– primes even less.) Don’t get me wrong, I love Sam– moreso than any of the others I almost made instead of him (Havok, Cable, Forge)– it’s just that I liked him better on X-Force than X-Men.
I thought it was appropriate to hurry up and post this before this new cartoon “Wolverine and the X-Men” comes out. I’ll take X-Men in any media I can find, but this cartoon looks like its gonna be the worst of all. First off, I’m not feeling this overly svelte design for Wolverine. And I’d rather a more popular character get the spot that it seems they’ve given to Forge. Also, why is Emma confirmed so soon and not Storm or Jean? If those two aren’t included, then its not X-Men. I mean, X-Men is supposed to be about accepting diversity– giving blond-haired blue-eyed Emma a spot over Storm is a travesty. Opinions?
Oh– and one final thing. I have a sekushi wallpaper of all of my male X-Sluts up in my new wallpapers section of my site! Take a peek.
ANYWAY, yeah, random tangent. The characters from this game would later be much more fleshed out in SNK‘s fighting game super-franchise King of Fighters. KOF, as it is called by fans, is the main rival to Capcom’s Street Fighter, and the Ikari Warriors: Ralf and Clark have been in all 10+ installments of the game. Clark is quiet, reserved, and never removes his shades. Ralf is loud, boisterous, and takes a swig of beer before each match. The two are military partners and inseparable friends (which of course leads fans to pair them up romantically!)
So yeah, enjoy my version of the Ikari team in all their dangling glory.
I drew this on a train, coming home from a short vacation. Originally it was going to be all elaborate with Blanka swinging through the trees complete with this insane detailed background. Then I was like, screw that– it’s fan-art. I’m not putting any more than the bare minimum of work into this.
In coloring the drawing with that same attitude, I tried a bit of a sketchy style. I was very free with the brushes, not caring too much about boundaries. It ended up developing into a pretty cool, very painterly coloring stlye. And although it didn’t take me any less time to finish, I think this coloring stlye fits the subject matter– wild, free, beastly! haha.
Blanka is a character from Street Fighter and although he isn’t my favorite Street Fighter, he is the one character I can consistently win with. Whenever I’m in the arcades and some punk keeps beating my Chun-Li or Rose, I pick up Blanka and KICK THEIR ASS!
For those who don’t know, this is SHOMA, another genius creation from the guys at Capcom. He is from the Rival Schools game series, which was one of the most innovative and down-right FUN fighting games of all time. In the games, he is a hot-tempered baseball player who is self-conscious about his height and carries a gigantic baseball bat everywhere he goes.
He has a move that is extremely suggestive– the one where he holds the bat at his crotch and pokes the opponent with it. He then lifts the opponent into the air, flings them off of the bat, and sort-of waggles it a little as if he was shaking himself off after a piss.
I used to draw the characters all the time. But as my drawing style changed, so did my renditions of the characters. Below, you’ll see something I recently dredged up from my folder of old stuffs. No, I never drew the Tiny Toons fucking, but when I finally realized how sexy I started drawing them was when I kinda stopped drawing them.
I did however draw VERY provocative versions of Gadget for money.
I admit to never really being into ElfQuest. I remember my uncle had cases and cases of the original comics and when I was a kid, I’d sneak looks at them. For some reason I thought there was something implicitly dirty about ElfQuest. Something about it just made me embarrassed to admit I was interested in it. Maybe it had to do with the effemininity of the male characters… or the fact that they were quite often bare-chested. Whatever the reason, I didn’t really get into it.
We actually met the creator of Elfquest at NY Comic Con a few weeks ago. She and Kitt were going on like they’d known each other for years– it was weird. Anyhoo– this is “Cutter,” the main character of the series. Of course, on my site is the nuder version. (Natcherly!)
And next up is a piece I’ve done for Freshmen magazine. Hopefully my working relationship with them will become more regular because not only is getting paid a great motivator (heh,) it also makes for some interesting pieces for my portfolio. The story here is about a high school kid who gets “invaded” by a mysterious masked intruder. Again, on my site is a raunchier version.
