C’mon, Let’s Fight!

“C’mon, let’s FIGHT!” was what the main characters of this 1986 NES classic shouted before unloading their semi-automatic weapons into the jungles of their 8-bit universe. I’m speaking of Ikari Warriors, a rare game I never actually owned. A friend of mine had it but whenever we played, it would freeze on like the 4th stage. My friend was convinced that it was because he had roaches in his Nintendo and I told him that didn’t make any sense. Then, sure enough, one day we were playing and a cockroach crawled out of his Nintendo and the thing froze. I never played Josh’s Nintendo again after that.

ANYWAY, yeah, random tangent. The characters from this game would later be much more fleshed out in SNK‘s fighting game super-franchise King of Fighters. KOF, as it is called by fans, is the main rival to Capcom’s Street Fighter, and the Ikari Warriors: Ralf and Clark have been in all 10+ installments of the game. Clark is quiet, reserved, and never removes his shades. Ralf is loud, boisterous, and takes a swig of beer before each match. The two are military partners and inseparable friends (which of course leads fans to pair them up romantically!)

So yeah, enjoy my version of the Ikari team in all their dangling glory.

Omega Phi

What if the most powerful Greek and Roman deities were reincarnated as SEXY GAY FRAT BOYS?

Such is the premise of my latest perversion: The Men of Omega Phi.

I’ve always been fascinated by Greek mythology. If you think about it, its totally up my alley– a bunch of beautiful super-powered people who fight and screw each other.

Don’t ask me what I have planned for these guys. At the moment, there’s no comic series in the works. I mainly just wanted to design the characters and finally get it down on paper.

I’ve drawn these images as wallpapers, because I felt guilty about taking the old ones down from my site. These are all at widescreen monitor resolution (1680×1050.) For the fullscreen versions at 1024×768, visit the work section of my site.

Comments greatly welcomed and appreciated. Which one’s the hottest? Personally, I have to say that I have a thing for big boy Ryan– and also Emerson. But then again, I wouldn’t push ANY of them outta my bed– haha. Let me know what you guys think.

AH-OOH-ROWR!

Fan-Art! Fan-Art!

I drew this on a train, coming home from a short vacation. Originally it was going to be all elaborate with Blanka swinging through the trees complete with this insane detailed background. Then I was like, screw that– it’s fan-art. I’m not putting any more than the bare minimum of work into this.

In coloring the drawing with that same attitude, I tried a bit of a sketchy style. I was very free with the brushes, not caring too much about boundaries. It ended up developing into a pretty cool, very painterly coloring stlye. And although it didn’t take me any less time to finish, I think this coloring stlye fits the subject matter– wild, free, beastly! haha.

Blanka is a character from Street Fighter and although he isn’t my favorite Street Fighter, he is the one character I can consistently win with. Whenever I’m in the arcades and some punk keeps beating my Chun-Li or Rose, I pick up Blanka and KICK THEIR ASS!

You Da Man

I was saving this piece for when I launch Persuasions: Phase 02. But I am struggling with the script, and it probably will be a while before I get that up and running. So here’s a pre-maturely ejaculated piece for you guys.
The dude on the left is Dustin, the bartender who made a minor appearance in Persuasions: Phase 01. Milan is the guy on the right, whom you’ll remember as the young reluctant heir to the Van Bruno empire. So, I guess I’m revealing here that these two are lovers… but don’t worry because there are tons of more surprising twists and turns for their storyline.

In this illustration, you’ll be interested to know that trying to make a room appear “dirty” was far more difficult for me than I was expecting. I tweaked it for days. Hopefully, the idea came across. This is supposed to be one really skankatacious motel.

Lusty Pirates

*EDIT 5-25-07: I’m taking down 3 of the illustrations until the issues of [2] hits stands.

So here’s the latest thing I’ve been working on: a group of illustrations to accompany a story about pirates in [2] magazine.

Basically, it’s about a beautiful blonde male model who is getting shots taken on a fake pirate ship in the Bermuda Triangle. But then, of course, lightning strikes, and the model is mystically transported back in time to a real pirate ship.


Of the four drawings, my favorite is the one with the group of pirates all ogling the pretty boy tied to the mast. I had fun designing the characters. My partner said I made the Black one look a little too insane– LOL. It’s the eyes. I definitely wanted them all to look crazed.

I’m also proud of how the captain came out. I was worried I’d have trouble making him appear as gruff as a pirate captain would be while still trying to make him as attractive as the story describes. Hopefully, it worked. I’d join this guy’s crew before Jack Sparrow’s any day! (Not to put down Johnny Depp, who will always be high on my list of doable Hollywood!)

Miami Review

POST EDIT (4-27-07): I colored the “DEREK” character. Have a looksie.

So I’m back home. My partner and I jaunted down to sunny South Beach in Miami, Florida. It was very relaxing. The food was great and I saw enough fake titties to last me a lifetime.

For some reason, I was expecting the gay scene down there to be a lot more happening than it was. I had this idea that South Beach was one of the more infamous gay locales in the U.S. We ended up grabbing a few tourist guides before we went, and they further emphasized that South Beach has become more “straight” than it used to be. But it didn’t really hit me till we actually saw it.

It was still fun though– I mean, hell, I got to sleep on a beach every day! Of the few gay clubs that still existed, my favorite was Twist. No cover, eight bars, and hot gogo boys = a smashing good time. One thing that kind of disappointed me though was that the clubs and bars down in South Beach are very low-key any day but Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. You’d think that since Sunday is still a weekend day, that there would still be something going on in the clubs—but nope. I guess I’m spoiled living in New York where the clubs are in full effect every night of the week.

You’ll notice a few hot-guy drawings I put up along with this post, all inspired by my stay in South Beach. Oh yeah, that’s another thing that shocked me about that place—the lack of hot guys! Well, I’ll admit, the percentage of scantily-clad muscle boys did increase on the weekends. But during the week, the beach was pretty flabbalicious. My partner and I concluded that many of the locals must specifically come down to South Beach on the weekends only.

I’ll be coloring these pics eventually but for now I’ve got a ton of work to catch up with.

The Heat is On

The scorcher above was originally an unused sketch for a job. I figured I needed some more variety of genres and man-types in my pin-ups so I modified the characters and turned the sketch into a promotional dealy. Inter-generational man-sex, dude. That’s a thing, supposedly. Oh but the young guy is over 18– promise! haha.


Aaaand, I’m also ploppin’ in the two drawings for Persuasions that I left outta the last post. Now that I know someone actually read it, I feel more confident giving up the cum-soaked “piece de resistance.” haha.

Persuasions: PHASE 1

So after months of fiddling with it, I’ve finally decided to knuckle-down and launch this little thing I’ve been working with called “Persuasions.” You can find it in the EXTRA section of the Anti-Heroes site.

It’s an online gay erotic cartoon soap opera! …

I’ve always liked the soaps and I’ve always wanted to create something similar. I figured since there aren’t really any gay ones out there, I’d try that out.


The format is inspired by video games (hello, it’s ME!) Particularly RPGs or any game with a story mode where you see little icons representing the character that’s speaking. I love it when their facial expressions change according to their emotion.

Also, with Persuasions, I figured I’d give you guys a taste of my erotic writing. You know, I used to write and illustrate X-Men slash fiction and it was pretty well received on the internet. Of course, then I went through a “boycott all fan-art” phase and took all the stories offline. Wish I could find them– or better yet, the drawings I did with them.

Many of the illustrations in Persuasions were created specifically for the series. Some of them, I ended up being so proud of that I’ve started using them as promotional pieces. Particularly the one with Preston and Marq on the bed and the one with Brody and Seb in the shower. There is also one XXX pic that I REALLY REALLY like embedded within the story that I’m not including here on the blog. Why? Incentive for you guys to read the story!

There are also some older illustrations sprinkled throughout PHASE 1, some with new things added. This is because I really wanted to include some of my previously created characters in the story instead of making all new ones.



So hopefully, someone out there will find this series compelling– or hot. Either is fine with me. This is only PHASE 1, meaning that I will put out more installments in the future. I’ve got plans loosely strung about in my head, but am open to suggestions. For instance, like if you guys really despise a particular character, I’ll kill them off.

Recent Update

Last night, I updated my Anti-Heroes site with a ton of new stuffs. Thought I’d mention all of it here just in case.

First, you’ll notice two new X-Men remixes: Nightcrawler and Cyclops. I friggin’ LOVE Nightcrawler. He’s just the cutest thing in Marvel comics, hands down. I hate how they have him studying to be a priest though. Lame. I liked the swash-buckling, smooth-talking, happy-go-lucky blueboy from the old days.
And next on good-ol’ Cyke, I chose to make him pretty damned sexy because I’m sick of people hating on him so. I feel like all my buddies who like the series all hate Scotty. I don’t mind the guy. I think he’s an important character. I wish that they’d make more fun of how he moves from one X-telepath to the next though. (Jean, Psylocke, Emma)

Then, I whipped up a little present for my boy, Patrick Fillion. Here we got Space Cadet! I originally wanted to do Demios but shyed away because I’m gonna do demons in an issue of Anti-Heroes. This Space Cadet drawing is one of few that I’ve peciled in non-photo blue. Blue pencil is good to work in because the theory is that xerox, cameras, and scanners don’t pick up the blue. That’s in theory though. My scanner picked it up. But, I will say that cleaning the blue out was much easier than cleaning out graphite.

Finally, I’ve posted the censored version of one of the new splash pages I did for Anti-Heroes#3. I put the sketch up months ago and had been working on the colors ever since. I like the way it came out. I definitely recommend starting a drawing and then coming back to it weeks later. It almost feels like touching up someone else’s work. You end up looking at it with totally new eyes.

Why is it censored? Well, this is my incentive to get folks to buy my comix. This is the first in a series of teasers I’m going to give people for issue 3 of Anti-Heroes.

Blog Launched!

Ok, so I used to kinda always tell myself I’d never do a blog. The reason for this being that since I already had my own website, I could just say whatever the hell I wanted to say on it– just like a blog. BUT… I’ve come to realize that my site (though robust as it is) doesn’t readily offer some of the features I like about blogs.
One of those features is the ability for others to comment on posts. This is actually what I loved about Y!Gallery. It was awesome to post something– be it a drawing, poll, or just random thought, and have people who know and support me comment on it! I really thrive on feedback about my work, so it was great to get it pretty much whenever I wanted. Not only did it educate me as to what people really wanted to see in my work, but it also motivated me to just do more and more! I mean, you’ll notice the increase in work around the time I really started to get into Y!Gallery.

However, as most of you know, I’ve left Y!Gallery. There were two reasons for this mostly. The first was that I thought their rules and the enforcing of them was too vague and arbitrary. The second was that I thought that if I spoke my mind about anything I disagreed with, I’d be suspended or banned. And I really didn’t want anything like that to happen to me– not because I’d miss out on participation or anything. More because I was afraid of what I’d do in retaliation. I have a vindictive side– most people don’t see it. But if they’d pushed me, they’d have found their computers hijacked with viruses and spam galore. So I thought it was best that I just remove myself from the situation before it escalated.

I still want to find a forum like Y! but for now, I’m going to see what this bloggin’ thing is all about. If I get a similar response to what I got from the friendly Y! users, then I’ll post sketches, finished drawing, whatever! Feel free to comment. Tell me what you like, and what you want to see.

To get the ball rolling, I’m posting this new character. His name is Marq and he is the protagonist in a new series I’m working on called “Persuasions.” It’s themed like a soap opera– only sexy and gay! Marq is a sweet, straight-laced school teacher who’s married but carries on an affair with Preston, the bad-boy anti-hero of the series.
